Lovable Pricing (2026): Plans, Credits, and What It Really Costs

Lovable Pricing

Lovable uses a credit-based pricing model. You pay per workspace, not per person. There are four plans: Free ($0), Pro (from $25 a month), Business (from $50 a month), and a custom Enterprise plan. Credits, not seats, set your cost. Every AI action spends a different amount. The sticker price is just the start. Your real monthly cost depends on how many credits you use, top-up credits you buy, and backend hosting. Annual billing drops Pro to about $21 a month and Business to about $42 a month.

Lovable has grown faster than almost any software company ever. It passed $500 million in yearly revenue, and users start about one million new projects every week. Around 8 million people now build apps on this AI app builder. With so many users, one question comes up more than any other: how much does Lovable cost?

This guide gives you the full answer. You will see every 2026 plan and price. You will learn how the credit system works in plain words. You will find the hidden costs most people miss. And you will get a simple way to pick the right plan for how you build. Let’s start with the prices.

Lovable Pricing at a Glance (2026)

Lovable has four public plans. The price is set by the credits each plan gives you, not by how many people are on your team. In fact, every plan lets you add unlimited collaborators who all share one credit pool. This is what “per-workspace pricing” means. You pay for the workspace, and your whole team can join at no extra seat cost.

Here are the Lovable pricing plans side by side.

These prices come from Lovable’s own pricing page. We also checked them against G2 and Lovable’s documentation. The two base prices ($25 for Pro and $50 for Business) have stayed the same going into 2026.

The plan prices are the easy part. The credit system under them is where the real cost hides. Let’s break that down next.

How does Lovable’s credit-based pricing actually work?

Lovable charges you by credits, not by seat. Every AI action spends credits. A small edit may cost about 0.5 credits, while adding sign-in and login costs more. Plan mode is 1 credit per message. Build mode changes based on how hard the task is. Plans give you monthly credits plus daily credits, and unused monthly credits roll over for a short time.

This is the most important thing to know before you pay for anything. Once you get how credits work, the whole price makes sense.

Diagram of Lovable credits: Plan mode vs Build mode credit costs

Plan mode vs Build mode

There are two ways your credits get used:

  • Plan mode: Each message costs a flat 1 credit. Use this to talk through an idea before you build it.
  • Build mode: The cost changes with the task. Small changes are cheap. Big, multi-step builds cost more.

Lovable shows real Build mode costs on its pricing page. Here are a few examples so you can see how the cost per credit adds up.

“Remove the footer”Removes the footer0.90
“Add sign up and login”Adds auth pages and logic1.20
“Build me a landing page, use images”Full page with images, theme, and sectionsabout 1.70 to 2.00

Daily credits vs monthly credits

Paid plans give you two credit pools:

  • Monthly credits (starting at 100 on Pro). These roll over, but only for a limited time.
  • Daily credits (5 per day). These reset each day at midnight UTC and do not roll over.

On the Free plan, your daily credits are capped at 30 for the whole month. Paid plans do not cap the daily credits.

Top-up credits and when credits expire

If you run out, you can buy more. These are called top-up credits. On Pro, 50 top-up credits cost $15, which is about $0.30 per credit. On Business, 50 top-up credits cost $30, which is about $0.60 per credit.

Watch the expiry dates too. Monthly plan credits expire two months after you get them. Top-up credits last a full 12 months. So if you buy a big batch of top-ups, you have plenty of time to use them.

Now that the credit rules are clear, let’s look at what each plan gives you. We will start with the free option.

What do you get on Lovable’s free plan?

Lovable’s free plan costs $0. It gives you 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, plus small monthly Cloud and AI credits. Your projects are public and show a Lovable badge. It is enough to test the tool, but not enough to ship a full app.

Here is what the free plan includes:

  • 5 build credits per day, capped at 30 per month
  • Monthly grants of 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits
  • Public projects only, hosted on a lovable.app web address
  • A “Built with Lovable” badge on your live app
  • Unlimited collaborators, so your whole team can join for free

The Lovable free plan is truly usable when you want to explore the workflow. But the credit ceiling comes fast. A real build session can eat a full day of credits in one afternoon. Think of the free plan as a test drive, not a plan you ship on.

Here is a smart tip before you sign up to test it. Use a temporary email for AI tools when you register. That way, onboarding and marketing emails stay out of your real inbox while you try the platform. If you decide Lovable is not for you, your main email stays clean.

How much is the Lovable Pro plan, and what is included?

The Lovable Pro plan starts at $25 a month, or about $21 a month if you pay yearly. It gives you 100 monthly credits plus 5 daily credits, credit rollover, custom domains, badge removal, and user roles. Pro scales up the same credit ladder, from 100 credits at $25 all the way to 10,000 credits at $2,250 a month.

Pro is the first tier built for real solo work. On top of the credits, you unlock private projects, custom domains, removal of the Lovable badge, credit rollover, on-demand top-ups, and user roles. This is a big jump from the free plan, since private projects and custom domains matter once you want to launch.

Here is the key thing about the Lovable Pro price. It is not one flat number. It is more like a slider. The $25 base gives you 100 credits. But you can commit to bigger credit packs at about the same rate per credit.

Monthly creditsMonthly billingAnnual billing
100$25$250 (about $21 a month)
200$50$500 (about $42 a month)
400$100$1,000 (about $84 a month)
800$200$2,000 (about $167 a month)
2,000$480$4,800 (about $400 a month)
10,000$2,250$22,500 (about $1,875 a month)

For most solo founders, the $25 base tier is the real starting point. Just treat those 100 credits as your monthly budget, and plan your builds around it.

What is the difference between Lovable Pro and Business?

Business starts at $50 a month. That is double the Pro price for the same starting credits. The extra money does not buy more credits. It buys team features: SSO, a team workspace, a security center, role-based access, internal publishing, and the option to opt out of data training. Pick Business for team controls and governance, not for extra credits.

This surprises a lot of people. The gap between Pro and Business is not about credits at all. It is about team power and safety.

Starting credits100 a month100 a month

SSONoYes

So the choice is simple. If you build alone, Pro is enough. Move up to Business only when SSO, team governance, or data privacy truly matter to you. If those words do not mean much for your project yet, save the money and stay on Pro.

That covers the sticker prices. But here is the part most guides skip. The number on the plan page is almost never the number on your card. Let’s do the honest math.

The real cost of Lovable: hidden costs and credit burn

The subscription is only one layer of what you actually spend. When you look at real user reports, the true bill runs well above the headline price. There are three big reasons for this.

Lovable hidden costs iceberg showing credit burn and cloud hosting fees

Credit burn is faster than you think

Complex work eats credits fast. This is called credit burn. One builder ran through 100 credits in less than a day. Firsthand accounts call the Pro daily allowance “quite restrictive” for heavy building. On Pro, one credit costs about $0.25. So if you burn 3,000 to 4,000 credits in a busy month, your bill can climb to $700 to $900 or more.

Backend and Cloud costs add up

Lovable Cloud covers your database, storage, sign-in, and serverless functions. It is billed on its own once your app grows. Many real apps also need a paid Supabase tier on top of that. When you add it all up, the total cost of ownership can run 5 to 10 times the sticker price. One review put the real solo minimum around $612 a year once you count the backend.

What this means for your budget

For many builders, a “$25 plan” quietly turns into a $60 to $80 real monthly bill once you add hosting and top-ups. To make this easy, here is a rough real-cost guide by project type. Use it to set your budget before you start.

App typeReal month-one costPlan that fits
One-page landing site with email capture$0 to $25Free or Pro
Solo MVP with sign-in and a databaseabout $25 to $70Pro plus a few top-ups
Production SaaS with payments and storage$50 plus regular top-upsBusiness plus Cloud runtime

Because the real bill depends on how hard you push the AI, the right plan depends on how you build. Let’s turn that into a simple choice.

Which Lovable plan is right for you?

Pick Free to test the tool. Pick Pro ($25 a month) to ship a solo MVP with private projects and a custom domain. Pick Business ($50 a month) when you need SSO, team controls, or data-training opt-out. Pick Enterprise when your large company needs volume credits, SCIM, and dedicated support.

Here is a quick decision guide. Find the line that sounds like you.

  • Just exploring? Stay on Free. It costs nothing and teaches you the workflow.
  • Solo founder shipping an MVP? Go with Pro. Private projects, custom domains, and 100 monthly credits cover a focused build.
  • Small team, or need governance? Choose Business for SSO, shared workspaces, and data controls.
  • Large company? Talk to sales about the Enterprise plan for volume credit pricing, SCIM, audit logs, and dedicated support.

Do not forget the discounts. Verified students get 50% off Pro, which is about $12.50 a month. Nonprofits usually get around 20% off. If you qualify, the student discount makes Pro one of the cheapest ways to build a real app.

If you are still weighing Lovable against other tools, price is a fair tiebreaker. Let’s compare.

How does Lovable’s pricing compare to Bolt and Cursor?

Lovable hidden costs iceberg showing credit burn and cloud hosting fees

All three tools sit near $20 to $25 a month for their first paid tier. Lovable Pro is about $25. Cursor Pro is about $20. Bolt is around $20 to $25. The bigger difference is the model. Lovable and Bolt meter your usage with credits or tokens, while Cursor’s Pro plan is closer to flat-rate.

ToolFirst paid priceBilling model
Lovableabout $25 a month (Pro)Credit-metered (varies per action)
Cursorabout $20 a month (Pro)Closer to flat-rate subscription
Boltabout $20 to $25 a monthToken or usage-metered

On monthly price alone, the three tools are close. The real difference is how predictable your bill is. Usage-metered tools like Lovable and Bolt can spike when you build a lot. A flat-rate tool is steadier but may cap how much you can do. For a full look at each one, read our Bolt pricing guide and our Cursor pricing guide. You can also see our full Lovable review for how the tool builds, not just what it costs.

A quick word on vibe coding and why pricing gets confusing

Lovable is part of a wave of tools people call “vibe coding.” You describe what you want in plain words, and the AI builds it. That feels almost free at first, since you are not writing code by hand. But that easy feeling is exactly why the credit bill can surprise you. Each prompt spends credits, and it is easy to send many prompts in one sitting.

The founder, Anton Osika, built Lovable in Stockholm, Sweden, out of an earlier project called GPT Engineer. The tool connects to services you likely already know, like Supabase, GitHub, and React under the hood. Big investors like Accel and CapitalG have backed it. All of this growth is why the pricing keeps shifting, so it is smart to check the current numbers before you commit.

The bottom line

Lovable’s pricing looks simple on top: Free, $25 Pro, $50 Business, and a custom Enterprise plan. But the credit system underneath is what really sets your bill. Start on the Free plan to learn the workflow. Move to Pro when you are ready to ship your MVP. Step up to Business only when you need team controls. And always budget for credit burn plus backend hosting, since the real cost runs higher than the sticker.
